ST. MARY'S & JESUS SCHOOL15th August
When 15th august comes our hearts fill with excitement and joy because that was the day we got our freedom. That particular day of international pride stirs up a patriotic chord in all of us. This is the day when all Indians feel the pride of freedom. We encourage the spirit of patriotism among the students and teachers which is conducted as an event. Starting from flag hosting to singing the national anthem we celebrate the day with pride. The spirit of nation-building has to be imbibed by all of us, including the students gathered on that day.
Teachers Day
Teachers’ day is celebrated on the 5th of September to show love and gratitude towards the teachers who held our hands and teach us everything. We try to make the students understand the importance of teachers in life as teachers are an important role model for all educational organizations. Whether it is school or any other institution they work hard to make the future better of their students. On the occasion of Teachers’ day, all teachers should be thanked because of their support to students and for guiding them on the right path.
Bridges of Sports
We try to encourage the students for sports which are very crucial for their physical, mental, and psychological upliftment.The sportsmanship spirit is also important as it teaches them the mentality to fight in all situations of life. We also arrange an atmosphere where they would be attracted towards sports and their self-esteem will increase. We make the bridge of sports for them so they can get the opportunity to get involved in sports-related activities.
Annual Function
Every year an annual function is organized, where a cultural programme consisting of dance, music, games, martial art etc. is held. Along with the students, guardians also participate. This programme is a medium where everyone is free to perform and show their talents openly. Guardians, students and teachers all are welcome.
Rabindra Jayanti
Rabindranath jayanti is remembered as the yearly celebration of the birthday of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore who was not only a great poet but also a writer, novelist, and musician. It is celebrated in early May on the 25th day of the Bengali month Baisakh. He didn’t just change the meaning of Bengali literature but also got international recognition for his great contributions related to music, novels, and other aspects. To celebrate his contribution to our culture we organize an event every year which is popularly known as “Rabindra jayanti used”. We arrange a few cultural events on this particular day.
Picnic
Picnics are a great stress reliever for children. It helps to reduce anxiety and stress related to studies and other personal issues. We arrange an annual picnic to give the students the happiness and mental boost that they need. That event remains our favorite because we get the chance to share happiness and celebrate the special bonds between teachers and students.
